Pumpkin Puree

Ingredients:

 

1 (hokkaido) pumpkin

 

Process:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the pumpkin in half.
  3. Remove the seeds and fibres with a metal spoon.
  4. Place them on your baking sheet and bake until the flesh is tender when pierced with a knife.
  5. This takes about 25 – 45 minutes (depending on how large your pumpkin is up to 90 minutes).
  6. When tender, remove the pumpkin halves from the oven and place on a flat surface to cool.
  7. Once cool enough to handle, scoop out the pumpkin flesh.
  8. Puree the pumpkin in a food processor.
